I build the boring, unglamorous systems companies actually run on.
My work sits at the seam between product and infrastructure: fund administration software handling millions in distributions, CRM and ERP rollouts for regulated teams, and an evolving cast of agentic systems that do the work nobody at a fifty-person startup has time to do themselves.
I am the co-founder and CPO of Homebase, a Techstars ’23 proptech building fund management for real-estate sponsors. Outside of Homebase I take on a small number of consulting engagements under AKBUILDS. Usually 1 to 2 at a time, usually agents in production, always with real deliverables that hold up and continue to improve long after I move on.
I write code in TypeScript and Python and ship on AWS, Cloudflare, Vercel, and Fly.io. I prefer flowcharts to powerpoints and short meetings to long ones. I am always curious and love working with great people.

I build systems that
are self-improving
and resilient.
Most of my work now runs as supervised agents - I research best practices, plan it, dispatch it across parallel sessions, and gate anything that touches production. The point isn't speed; it's that the result is stable, repeatable, and still working long after I move on.
Research, plan, build, test, deploy, verify - in one pass.
A feature goes from an idea to a spec to a deployed, health-checked endpoint in a single engagement, not a half-finished draft thrown over a wall. Shipped means it runs in production and stays up.

I fan out Claude agents across git worktrees and codebases - one spec becomes dependency-ordered issues, parallel implementations, and reviewed PRs. The orchestration is autonomous; the approval gates on anything irreversible are not.
Verify against reality, not the compiler.
End-to-end checks over static ones, because passing types don't mean a thing works. This is how I have caught canonical-URL regressions, duplicate-send bugs, and a dead-weight timestamp change - each invisible to the compiler, each found by exercising the real system. The result holds up on the hundredth run, not just the first.
